You know that you need to take extra good care of your skin in Winter. But don’t just focus on the skin on your face. Just because the skin on your body isn’t visible because you’re wearing more layers of clothing, it doesn’t mean you still don’t need to take care of it. Today I’m sharing 2 super quick and easy tips with you that will help combat dry winter skin. And if you follow these tips, your skin will be in tip-top condition well in time for the arrival of T-Shirt wearing temperatures. So let’s get started.

I absolutely adore this 100% natural body scrub. The natural sugar particles do an amazing job of removing dry, flaky skin. Yet it’s very gentle on the skin. This scrub also contains sweet almond oil which helps to replace lost moisture. You’ll be left with beautifully nourished and glowing skin. The addition of lime and peppermint essentials oils give this scrub a beautiful aroma too.
There’s also a Gin & Skin Tonic body scrub available in this range, which is equally as amazing as the Mojito scrub. Use either of these once or twice per week to combat dry skin. You can use them in the shower or bath. Massage gently onto damp skin. Begin at your feet and work your way up your body finishing at your shoulders and neck. Pay particular attention to your feet, ankles, knees and elbows as these are often the areas of the skin that are most dry. Rinse off well.

I’m a big fan of the full range of body lotions by Alverde. This particular one is my favourite, as it’s specifically for dry skin. As you’ve most likely experienced, many body lotions can take such a long time to dry. Especially lotions and creams for dry skin, as they’re so thick and heavy and take a really long time to absorb into the skin. But what I love about this one is that it has a very light consistency and it absorbs into my skin in seconds. Yet my skin feels instantly softer and hydrated and really soothes my dry winter skin.
If you’re not familiar with Alverde, this is a brand owned by the drugstore DM here in Germany. Their products all contain ingredients of natural and/or organic origin. They are also cruelty-free and most of their products are vegan too. This is a very budget friendly brand with some really great quality products. Check out their shower gels too, which are great to use in combination with the body lotions.
