🎉A very warm welcome to this program.Â
The first thing to do now is watch this welcome video, where I’ve given you your next steps.
I’ve also included some bonus materials in this program for you.Â
However, if you’re strapped for time, you do not need to watch those now.Â
I strongly recommend you concentrate on watching and completing modules 1, 2 and the Action module first. They will take you less than 20 minutes in total.Â
Then it’s time for action! And this video will take you 5 minutes or less to create.Â
Once you’ve created your video, I recommend that you then come back here and watch the bonus materials.Â
Let’s get started….🚀
In this lesson, you’ll learn:
WHAT this number 1 video actually is.
WHY it’s so important for your business to create this video.
Whyit’s much more potent than having just a written post or reading your bio or about page.
Why this video both magnetises and repels people! And why that’s a good thing and exactly what you want it to do!
How to use this video.Â
Why you’ll want to update this video regularly.Â
How to eliminate overthinking and perfectionism when creating this video.Â
What you’ll learn in this lesson
We’ll go deeper into the HOW of creating this video and the exact elements you need. We’ll cover:Â
Why this video is doing all the work for you long after you’ve created it.Â
How and where to post this video so it’s working for you 24/7.Â
What exactly to include in this video. You’ll get a framework to make this so simple for you. Also see below in the resources section for an outline for you.Â
Why you should NOT script this video!
#1: HOW TO CREATE THIS VIDEO & WHAT TO INCLUDE IN IT
-> How long should it be?
1-5 minutes maximum
-> What to include:Â
Important: this is NOT a script to follow word for word. As I mentioned in the lesson video, I strongly recommend against doing that! Keep this conversational, as if you’re speaking to a person in a room.Â
Essential items to include:Â
Who you are.
What do you do?
Who do you help?
Leave a call to action!Â
Â
Examples of calls to action:Â
In the video examples I’ve given you below, you’ll see how I use all of these call-to-action types. Again, don’t overthink this. Use one to begin with, and you can refine each time you recreate this video.Â
-> Ex 1: Ask a question to create engagement and start conversations.
Don’t ask broad, generic questions. Be SPECIFIC! You’ll get much better answers this way.Â
BROAD: What’s your biggest struggle with marketing?
BETTER & MORE SPECIFIC: What’s your biggest challenge right now with creating content for your social media profiles?Â
Â
-> Ex 2: Ask them to comment with their biggest aha or takeaway from your video.Â
If you’ve shared something about yourself, for example, your own personal journey or story, this is a great call to action. It creates engagement, gets them talking to you and is a great way to continue the conversation with them in the comments and/or the DM.Â
Â
-> Ex 3: Leave the link to your free lead magnet.Â
I strongly recommend using this one. It’s a highly effective and very simple way to grow your email list. I use this one all the time, and it’s brought me many new email subscribers.Â
Â
-> Ex 4: Ask them to comment, telling you something about themselves.
Again, a great one to use if you’ve shared your personal story. But also if you’ve shared some personal facts such as hobbies, where you live, etc. It’s such a simple way to encourage engagement, even if it’s sharing where they live or a fun fact about themselves. Then continue the conversation with them once they comment.Â
Â
-> Optional:Â
The following items are optional things you can share in your video. However, when you’re creating this video for the first time, I recommend keeping it super simple for yourself and only include the essential items I shared above. Then, with every time you create this intro video, you can begin including some of the following elements.
Your mission.
Your story.
Your values.
Fun fact about yourself.Â
Or something personal. eg: Where you live, where you’re from, your hobbies, etc.
However, don’t try to stuff too much in here! Keep it simple for yourself. And stick to the timeframe of 5 minutes or less!Â
Â
-> How/where to record it:Â
You don’t need any fancy equipment to create this video. I personally use my iPhone to create all my videos. People are not looking for Hollywood production-type videos. They’re looking for real people they can relate to.Â
Here are a few ideas of how you can create this video.Â
Use your phone. Then upload it to your social platforms.Â
Record it on Loom. This is a good option if you want to share the link with your email subscribers as opposed to sending them to your social media profile.Â
Record it directly on your social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok.
As discussed in the video, here are some sample introduction videos to help inspire you to create your own.
You’ll notice that with each of these examples I’ve given you, I have constantly evolved and improved them with each video. And I will continue to improve and refine this.
For example, video example 3 is better than video example 4. Video example 1 is better than video example 2, etc.Â
This is why I strongly recommend you don’t overthink this video. It’s vital to just start as you will improve and evolve as you grow in your business.Â
